About this tool

Frequently asked questions
How many values do I need to enter?
You need at least three values, and at least one of them must be a side length, because three angles alone fix the shape but not the size. Valid combinations include three sides, two sides with an angle, and one side with two angles.
Does it handle right triangles and the ambiguous case?
Yes. For a right triangle you can simply enter the 90-degree angle or two of its sides and let the Pythagorean theorem do the rest. The tricky side-side-angle case can sometimes describe two different triangles, and the solver tells you when a second valid solution exists.
Are my measurements sent anywhere?
