How does it decide where to split the text?
It fills each chunk up to the character limit and then breaks at the last whole word that fits, so words are never cut in half. Existing line breaks are kept where possible, which keeps lists and paragraphs readable. If you turn on numbering, a counter such as (1/5) is counted toward the limit as well, so the whole post still stays within bounds.
Can I change the limit or the numbering?
Yes. The limit defaults to 280 characters to match a standard post, but you can set any value β handy for platforms with different caps, or for leaving room for hashtags and mentions. Numbering like (1/n) is optional too: switch it on for threads where order matters, or leave it off when you simply need clean, separate chunks.
