Frequently asked questions
What tempo should I practise at?
Start slow enough to play every note cleanly, then raise the tempo a few BPM at a time as it gets comfortable. Many players practise a new passage at around 50β70% of the target tempo and build up gradually β speed comes from accuracy, not the other way round.
What does the accent on beat 1 do?
Beat 1 of each bar plays a stronger click so you can hear where the measure starts. That keeps you oriented inside the bar β especially handy in time signatures like 3/4, 6/8 or 7/8, where the pulse is easy to lose.
Is an online metronome accurate enough?
Yes. The clicks are scheduled with the Web Audio clock rather than ordinary page timers, so they stay tight and even while you practise β and because it runs entirely in your browser, it keeps working without an account or connection once loaded.
