Frequently asked questions
What is an ASN?
An ASN (Autonomous System Number) identifies the network that owns and routes your IP address — usually your internet provider or hosting company. It tells you which operator your traffic actually flows through; for example, AS13335 belongs to Cloudflare.
Why is the city or location not exact?
IP geolocation is an estimate based on where the network registers and routes the address, not GPS. It is usually correct at the country level, but the city can be off — especially on mobile networks, or when you use a VPN or proxy, which shows that server's location instead of yours.
Is my IP address stored or logged?
No. Your IP is read first-party at the edge solely to display it back to you, and it is not written to a database or kept in a log. The browser details shown (user agent, languages, screen, timezone) are read locally in your browser and never leave your device.
